To start of the show Lillian came out and sang a bit of the national anthem. That got a pop. She then introduced Stacy Keibler who cames out to a stand ovation. She told us all the matches which were going to be happening. When she mentioned Regals name the crowd went nuts.
Match 1 - Rosey and the Hurricane against Tajiri and Rhyno.
A nice steady match to start the show. Rhyno was getting the most cheers out of the 4 wrestlers.Hurricane and Rosey were trying some heel tactics to swerve the crowd against them but it was pretty much split. At one point in the match Rosie gave Rhyno a leg drop of the 2nd turnbuckle and it looked like it was going to be over. Fortunatly for Rhyno, Tajiri broke it up. There was alot of action in the ring with all 4 brawling. The finish came when Rhyno deliverd a devastating gore to Rosie. This match last about 7- 10 minuits and was a good was to start the show. After the bout all for men shook hands which got a good response.
Match 2 - Shelton Benjamin against Chuck Palumbo.
Everyone was surprised by Sheltons entrance it was realy loud! He got a decent pop. Chuck was getting extreamly boo'd for some reason considering he hasnt really done anything bad to make him an official heel. Well anyway this match went at a good pace. Shelton won by his finisher the T-Bone Powerslam.
Match 3 - Molly and Trish against Victoria and Nidia.
A very good womens match. Trish is realy beautiful and her ring attire was great. Nidia needs a breast reduction, They're just too big. At one point I think Nidia slipped out, Trish is a great entertainer as well as a wrestler. She was contantly taunting the crowd whilst on the apron. Molly was by far the best wrestler in the match and took a realy harsh bump when Victoria gave her a back body drop. Victoria did her standing moonsault before Trish and Molly started double teaming. Molly held Victoria while Trish went to kick her. Surprisingly(NOT) Victoria ducked and Molly was on the receiving end of the chick kick. Victoria did the Widows Peak which is a devastating move to see in person and pinned our womens champion for the 1.2.3! After the match Nidia and Victoria dance for the crown. Small pop. Nothing major.
Match 4 - Regal and Eugene against La Resistance -Tag Team championship match/
Regal and Eugene came out to a huge pop and La Resistance came out to alot of heat. Before this match started Coach came down and said that tonight there would be a special guest ref. He then took off his shirt and revealed that he was the ref. Pre match Eugene ran around with the flag. Rob Conway tried to grab it and fell over. Then whole of the arena started chanting "she fell over" continualy.Another good match. Regal got a big response when he got the tag. Regal soon had Sylvan down for the the count but Coach refused to count because his shoulder was injured. Regal tried to grap coach but got rolled up .1.2.3. Your winners and Still Tag Team Champion.La Resistance!
After the match Eugene stunnered Coach and when he turned around Regal puched him (not sure if he had the knucks on)
Match 5 - Val Venis against Maven.
Both got an OK pop. Weird having a face versus face match. I think Maven was getting the most cheers though. Val missed the money shot and Maven went up top. Maven hit the crossbody but Val rolled him over and used the ropes to get the 1.2.3.
Match 6 -Tyson and Christian against HBK and Jericho.
Tyson and Christian came out to a good amount of heat. Jericho came out next to a big pop. The HBK came out to the biggest pop of the night. To start of the match Christian got a chair and hit Jericho with it. Tyson and Christian then held down HBK and hit his knee with the chair while it was on the stairs. The officials came and took him to the back with wasnt very popular with the fans. Jericho and Christian did a good job of keeping us entertained however. In the closing minuits of the match HBK returned to help Jericho. One sweet chin music later and the Showstopper had Christian pinned. After the match Jericho and HBK posed for the crowd.
Match 7 - Evolution (Batista/Flair) against Chris Benoit and Edge
Evolution came out first. I think they either came out to a remix of there theme music or to there theme music without words. Whichever it was, it wasnt their usualy. Edge came out next to a medium pop and Benoit came out to the second biggest pop of the night. Flair fell over about 3 times in this match and the crowd bought it everytime. Flair is such a great performer and it was an honor to watch him live. During the match Edge went for a sunset flip on Flair but Flair wouldnt go down. He tried to grab the ropes but Edge pulled his shorts down. Flair wrestled for about 20 seconds with his ass hanging out then went up onto the turnbuckle (still with his ass hanging out). Edge caugt him and threw him off though. Flair then pulled up his shorts and tagged in Batista. Edge tagged in Benoit and he cleared house with german suplexs. He then went up top and hit the headbutt. Batista got speared while Flair tapped to the crossface. Good Match!
Match 8 - Gene Snitsky against Kane.
Kanes entrance was amazing. Gene cut a promo saying how it wasnt him fault. But Kane ran down and started things of quickly. An Ok match. I cant remember how it finished. Either Snitsky got counted out or Kane got DQ'd. Or maybe it was a no conest. I'll tell you what happened and you can make up your own minds. Snitsky went out of the ring for ages then Kane got him gave him the chokeslam and got a chair. He put it around his neck and went up top. Official saved Snitsky. An Ok match. Nothing special'.
Match 9 - The main event!
Triple H against Randy Orton- World Heavyweight Championship
Both got a decent pop for there entrances.H looks like he's lost weight. A great match.Probably the best of the night. H had Randy in a hold and kept using the ropes which got the crowd going well. End saw the Ref taking a bump and Evolution coming to save the day for our champ. Similar to what we saw at Unforgiven with Batista giving a spine buster to Randy. Randy cleared the ring eventually but got a pedigree for his efforts. 1.2.3 and H retains the title. Evolution continued to beat on Randy until Benoit and Shelton came down. They cleared house and left H in the ring. H got a german suplex of Benoit, a splash of Benjamin and an RKO of Randy. The faces posed for the crowds and came for hand shakes. I shook hands with Randy, Benjamin and Lillian which brought me home with a smile on my face.
This the 3rd house show ive been to and was the best by fare. Love seeing H. Im going to Raw on Mon so I get it all again!Good house show. 8.5 out 10!
